Organizing your movies and other CD’S

Hi everyone, I am sorry I haven’t posted for a while. I have been busy with my garden and yard work.
I hope I can add more ideas to organizing as well as posting at my other blog
Do you have so many CD’s of movies, games and music that you don’t know what to do with? These are items that I like to try to hide as I don’t like cd racks. Even though the boys have moved out I still have most of their games still home and hopefully soon they will take them. Until then I have found a way to store them without looking messy and keep the house neat. This burgundy decorative luggage set is perfect for storing all those CD’s. I was so lucking to find them in a yard sale for $6.00. Now they decorate my home and they organize my movies.

SEWING ROOM

I have slipped away from this blog for a bit as I have been setting up my shop again Craft From My Heart http://www.craftfrommyheart.com . Not only have I been busy doing that but my son just married. My other son has just moved in with his girl friend. Now I have the empty nest syndrome lol. What does this all have to do with organizing? Two bedrooms I can now organize. One will be my new sewing room.
As I began decorating these rooms I will be posting and looking for your help in comments. The first room I will be working on will be the sewing room. I need my blogging friends to comment on the color paint I should use for the walls.

All you diva’s what do you add your paper clips in to make your home office look pleasant? I am a crafter and love to have charming and creative items to store my supplies in. I have been adding my hand painted items to my craft room. Here is a perfect jar to add my buttons in. You don’t have to be an artist. You can find decorative glass in dollar stores or yard sales. There are so many adorable retro pieces out there also. The next time you’re in a dollar store look for something that will pop your room.

Stylist storage cabinets with draws are quaint and can be place right on your sewing table or shelf to store some of your small items. This birdhouse is just perfect for my craft room.

STORAGE FOR YOUR SCRAP BOOKING SUPPLIES

What do you use for your 8x8 scrapping papers or patterns? I find these inexpensive storage metal boxes are just fantastic. You can find these in many discount stores. I found a number of them in different colors and added a little detail to them but they will look just fine left alone. There is a shot to add a label which is a plus.

Buttons, costume rhinestones and embroidery are some of the crafts items we can miss place in our craft room. I find that clear candle or Mason jars are perfect for storing some of my embellishments. By using clear glass jars you can easily find what you’re looking for. What do you store your embellishments in?

Where do you store your craft books? I like to keep my books in this cabinet that I found at a yard sale. When I brought it home I added some color and design to bighting it up. This cabinet is nice because I can organize my books on the shelves in groups and easily find what I am looking for. Then I can shut the door so my craft room can look neat. You can find an old cabinet in a yard sale and touch it up with paint.

HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE YOUR RIBBON?

A narrow basket is a neat place to store your ribbons!
In the picture below I cut a wooden dowel long enough to fit tightly in each corner of the basket. You want the dowel it to fit tightly so you do not have to use and glue. This way you can pull the dowel out to change your ribbon spools. Slide your ribbon on this dowel. and slip it into the basket. Your ribbon will flow freely. Please comment with your ideas so we can all organize our ribbons.
